It is an absolute pleasure to welcome you to Third View Magazine as we start our first year of publication. The core of Third View is to create an alternative view about critical issues that are prevailing in our socio-political environment. This journal is a publication of Balochistan Council for Peace and Policy the first think tank of Balochistan. The province of Balochistan has always been the bedrock of international politics, either it be the cold war or the war on terror. Presently, the province is considered the pearl of CEPC because of Gwadar deep seaport. Due to this strategic imperativeness Balochistan needs to more prepared than other part of Pakistan to play its role on the international politics. Balochistan needs to be ready to compete in the world of big data. In his latest book, historian Yuval Noah Harari talks about its importance:

“In ancient times land was the most important asset in the world…In the modern era machines and factories became more important than land…In the twenty-first century, however, data will eclipse both land and machinery as the most important asset.”

Contemplating on issues prevailing we took the initiative to launch the first think tank of Balochistan, Balochistan Council for Peace and Policy (BCPP).In this publication you will find a set of important articles both in English & Urdu that covers imperative issues such as: Community Engagement & Peace Building, UAE-Israel deal, CPEC’s role in Balochistan, Beirut to Gwadar, Domicile Fraud, Urbanization of Quetta and Rights of Minorities.

As an independent publication, we would like to be as transparent as possible. For this reason, we gladly welcome any comments and critiques you may have as a reader. Letters to the editor are also highly encouraged and will be considered for publication on our website or in print. We are elated to be furthering the mission of BCPP through Third View and to hear from you.
